Employee handbook

A handbook is your document

It tells people how your company works. It is your document, and it is not the background-check disclosure.

Module 1 of 6 · 6 min read

An employee handbook is a document you write about how the company works: pay days, who to ask, and how to raise a problem. The DOL and EEOC pages cited in this course describe posters and harassment. They do not say every private employer must publish a handbook. This lesson is educational and is not legal advice. A certificate of completion does not make the handbook legally sufficient.

PreHireBadge Academy courses are free and educational. Completing a course or earning a certificate is not legal advice, not a professional license, and not a legal credential. Laws change. Read the cited sources and ask a qualified attorney about your own hiring decision.
Write Post Review
Write the company rules, post the notices the agencies require, and review the handbook when the job changes.
